First Lunch of the School Year

Last year I started a tradition of feeding my niece and her friends a home cooked lunch once a month. I live really close to the High School so they can easily come to my house during their lunch break to eat. So last year I fed Hailey and her friends (she graduated last year) and this year, Karyssa is a senior so it's her turn. I really enjoy visiting with them and getting to know their friends better. At our first lunch we had chicken pot pie, homemade buttermilk biscuits and mint brownies. I always print off the recipes and send them home with them too so that by the end of the school year they will have a handful of recipes to take to college with them.

FREAKING awesome hair day. So jealous. I have a day like that about once a quarter . . . yours is always beautiful!

You are too good to do this lunch thing - especially sending the recipes home with them! I idolize you.

Karyssa is a SENIOR!? When did this happen!? Where is Hailey now? I used to babysit them and now they are so darn old. Kills me.

Happy holidays.

Thank you for the hair compliment! The lunch thing is fun. I should post some pics from last year. You know all the girls in Hailey's group. All from the ward. They were a lot of fun. And yes, Karyssa is a senior!! Crazy, I know. Hailey is in Provo working her butt off. Proud of that girl.
