Happy Thanksgiving Paternoster Style

So this Thanksgiving we went over to the Broadway chapel in Boise for our Thanksgiving this year. We had dinner, played games, had a scavenger and feather hunt, looked at Black Friday ads, and drawing. We had pretty much everyone except for Erik and Marcie and their family come. All in all it was really fun!

Christmas :D

This year was great!! We spent Christmas Eve driving around looking at Christmas lights and then went home to have summer sausage, cheese and crackers, 7-up & tiki punch, then watched A Christmas story. The next morning, the girls woke up around 6:30 am and were surprised to find Go Vacation, Purse, scooter, and a baby doll! After presents were unwrapped we had breakfast then went to the Meridian Greens ward for their conveniently timed sacrament meeting. We went home, got changed, and headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Floto's house for lunch. We ate Mexican food then opened gifts. All in all it was a great Christmas! :D

sorry the pics are in backwards order! :\

Last Year's Lunch Group

For old times sake I thought I would post a few photos from our lunch group last year. Sometimes my dear friend, Lanette Pollard, would join us too. She worked with these gals in Young Women's at Church along with me. These girls are all very special to both of us.

At our last lunch of the school year, I have each girl a little recipe book with all my favorite recipes to take with them to college.

This one was in August just before they all left for college, and at the peak of my Summer tan!

A Good Hair Day

So a couple days ago, I posted my status on FB that I was really happy to be having a good hair day. That post got 35 comments! CA-RAZY!! I did not post my picture, only said how good it feels to have a good hair day. But I did take my picture that day and here it is. Is this hair not worth celebrating?? I could make a list a mile long about all my complaints about my body, but my hair is not one of them. I have been blessed with beautiful hair! Can I get an AMEN???

Oh ya, We're Rachel Ray!

My girls have become slightly obsessed with Rachel Ray and her show "Forty Dollars a Day". It's on in the morning before school. They love to mimic her and make fun of her, which is easy to do. So the other night they decided to dress up in a "Rachel Ray" outfit and make "Rachel Ray type meals" and pretend to be "using their coupons" to get a good deal on their dinners. It was pretty hilarious really.
They have their money, their coupons and their purses.

According to Mallory, this outfit is so Rachel Ray! She wears the jeans, high healed boots, shirt tucked in and a sweater around her neck.

And don't forget the denim jacket and the ponytail!

Boise Christmas Tree Lighting

Attending the Capital Tree lighting is a family tradition of ours. Well, we've missed a couple years here and there, but we try to make it every year. This year was great! Not too cold and we got cookies, hot chocolate and free books for the kids. What a great way to kick off the Christmas season!
